I guess you could say crafting is in my blood. I came from a family of self-employed makers/artists so owning a handmade business just made sense.  Sailor Studio was named after my mother, Debbie Sailor, who was named while my grandfather was serving in the US Navy. After years of watching my mom and grandparents create and traveling to various craft shows as a kid, I decided to pursue other non-creative endeavors.

The art world pulled me back in and once I tried my hand at enameling, I was hooked!  I learned the process from my mom and enjoyed putting my own modern spin on the ancient art form. I jumped head first into the indie craft market and within a couple years our little business grew to successfully selling on Etsy and local craft festivals, as well as being stocked at several shops around the US, Canada, and Australia.

We have been overwhelmed and so grateful for the success of our little business. At the end of 2013, my husband and I decided it was time to move out of our barn studio into a larger space. We found the perfect 100 year old building in downtown Monroe, Georgia and moved in January 2014. We have a large workshop in the back and store space in front. We are expanding our brand into cool tees, art prints, and other accessories that reflect our Sailor style. We also get to carry amazing indie craft brands in our gift shop, always ethically made and sold.

Our faith in Christ and our amazing customers inspire us to reach out and give back to the community that has blessed us so much. We love finding ways to promote and plug-in to our local community's needs and share the love! So please come say hello if you are in the Monroe area or visit us at one of the many art/craft fairs we participate in each year.
